Introducing Kerafil

An ultra-fine, high performance fiber made from our proprietary protein restructuring process.

Introducing Kerafil

An ultra-fine, high performance fiber made from our proprietary protein restructuring process.

Here at Kerra, we believe that the materials we wear closest to our skin should be both high-performing and completely free of synthetic polymers.

Apparently, some of you agree.

Soft on skin, tough on environmental waste.

Our vision is to deliver the smooth handfeel and natural drape that make everyday garments a pleasure to wear, while reducing reliance on petroleum-based materials.

While our technology is still evolving, we’re working toward a new generation of fabric that matches the performance of today’s leading synthetic blends and has a lighter impact on the planet.

Extract.

First, we deconstruct wool fiber to extract the keratin protein.

Formulate.

Then, we form a polymer solution from the keratin protofilaments.

Spin.

We wetspin the solution into lasting, sustainable fibers.

Soft on skin, tough on environmental waste.

We’re pioneering a new class of biomaterial textiles through wet spinning — building toward fibers that combine comfort, stretch, and durability without the environmental cost of conventional synthetics.
